| My art inspiration comes from talismans, magic and divine inspiration. In my studio a smooth, worn subway token becomes as useful as a precious gem. I am especially intrigued by old and odd objects that are now extinct. Transit tokens, old coins, discarded keys, vintage jewelry and antique buttons... all find new life as “found object” jewelry. I have been collecting these things for years not knowing what I would eventually do with them. Now, I know my mission is to preserve these items and find new and fresh uses for them. I use traditional metal working techniques and blend these found objects with Sterling Silver, Copper and mixed metals. I create one-of-a-kind pieces that vibrate with history.
